This PowerPoint presentation lays out the communication priorities for MnDOT's Asset Management Strategic Implementation Plan (AMSIP). The plan is broken into five chronological steps: 1) Communicate Roles and Develop Initial Resources–June 2021; 2) District Rollout–December 2021; 3) Central Office Rollout–March 2022; 4) MnSHIP/TAMP Rollout–December 2022; and 5) On-Going Communication Efforts–December 2025. The presentation also details the resources to prioritize as MnDOT progresses through its AMSIP.

This document summarizes 103 responses from individuals across MnDOT as they reflect on MnDOT's asset management practices. The survey questions fall into eight areas: Agency Goals and Objectives; Asset Management Practices; Planning, Programming and Project Delivery; Data Management; Information Systems; Transparency and Outreach; Results; and Workforce Capacity and Development. The summary highlights the areas where practitioners desire the greatest improvement.

This PowerPoint Presentation gives an overview of MnDOT's strategic approach to Asset Management laid out in its Asset Management Strategic Implementation Plan (AMSIP), including the agency's vision and objectives and the steps and action plans developed to achieve these goals.

During the development of the MnDOT Asset Management Strategic Implementation Plan (AMSIP), five work groups were formed to work on specific areas of interest that would enable MnDOT to advance its asset management practices. One group, the Communication Work Group, focused on ways to build support for MnDOT’s asset management program through outreach activities. The Work Group addressed the types of outreach that might be needed, the messages needed by various stakeholder groups, and effective ways of communicating the messages.

The Asset Management Strategic Implementation Plan provides guidance for asset management at MnDOT and describes MnDOT's process for establishing a 5-year strategy. This 5-year plan includes four action plans: Data Action Plan, Life Cycle Strategy Action Plan, Communication Action Plan, and TAMP Implementation Action Plan. The Communication Action Plan details the information needs for their six target audiences and then outlines five recommendations with target dates stretching from Summer 2021 to December 2025. The plan also suggests developing a library of slides and other resources to assist the knowledge sharing efforts.

This OPS Div PowerPoint presentation delves into one fundamental question: what is MnDOT going to do with all this asset management data? In answering the preceding question, the presenters look successively at who uses asset data in variety of contexts: for maintenance measures, maintenance planning, system size, cost/productivity, spatial analysis, dashboards, maintenance/capital, scoping, procurement, consigned inventory, capital planning info, risk mitigation, regulatory, sustainability, design, financial, and asset management.

Asset Management Data is widely used across MnDOT, and often those charged with creating and/or collecting it are not in roles to see the wide benefits. This presentation exhibits 30+ examples of where MnDOT greatly benefits from its asset data.

The TAMP 2022 work plan lays out the timeline for completing each TAMP milestone and identifies each of the MnDOT employees associated with a piece of the plan. MnDOT is relying on several groups organized into each of MnDOT's asset categories beneath the Steering Committee and the Advisory Group.

Then it dives into the details of the Asset Matrix development and shares the results. The presentation concludes with a series of recommendations and opens up the floor for a round robin discussion.
